Fortunate
I consider myself to be fortunate to grow up watching Chiller Theater, Creature Features, Fright Night, The 4:30 movie, The Million Dollar Movie, Elvira, Night Flight Theater and so many others!

i hear ya brian.
there is a lot of crap on the tube. i get the chiller channel on my direct tv, and that plays an oldie once in awhile. of course its been a while that we couldn't depend on the sci fi channel, nick at nite and tv land. the market still exists. now you have to keep channel surfing to find a couple of different programs to watch in a row. sad.

Pix wants to hear what We have to say?
I doubt it.tapthat.....If they did They'd start some kind of dialogue with Us...They OBVIOUSLY,don"t give a crap{and they know crap..look at their pathetic schedule line up...}Brian

Horror Shows
It not only saddens me that WPIX is dropping the ball with Chiller, but there are few to almost NO Chiller type horror shows on TV...not even here in LA...There is a market for this stuff guys! It is also cheap programming! We don't need to keep being fed endless re-runs of Charmed!!!!!!

Classic PIX rules!
The worst thing WPIX did was get involved with the WB. Their independent programming was the envy of most major cities (just like Channel 38 in Boston). Chiller ROCKS.

Prospero's Post
Pix has NOT interacted AT ALL ! and How long does one "look forward" to programming that "may be coming" ? I agree the negativity is not good...But Pix's silence has fueled it.

Great to See Chiller, even if only for a short time.
I applaud PIX for breaking new ground and bringing back nostalgic tv programming that is interactive with their audience. What other network can claim such interaction with their audience. Although we can't relive the past, we can at least get a chance to experience it again, even if it is for one single time only. For all of you out there who are hating on PIX for not bringing it back full time, stop wasting your energy on negativity and look forward to some more retro programming that may be coming down the pipe. Be thankful that you got to see Chiller one more time in your lives. I"m looking forward to what other retro surprises PIX may have up their sleeves (some "Magic Garden" or maybe even some "PIX" viewer interactive video games). More retro programming and less internet reliance.

PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!
If there is any way to bring Chiller back...change its name, whatever, PLEASE DO SO! This is long over due...we need CLASSIC TV to return, and WPIX is just the station that should do it. What a thrill to know Saturday nights can be spent at home watching PIX' s FANTASTIC programing when Chiller returns for good....can you imagine how many viewers they"d pull in, especially with the economy the way it is?? Everyone I know would watch Chiller if it were back FOR GOOD!!

WTF??
Look, Zach is a friend of mine. I spoke with him right before Christmas. I don't think he believes me when i tell him about all the hits this site is getting regarding him and the Chiller special. [he doesn"t have a computer] He has had NO CONTACT from CH.11!! How can this be??? I agree with Johnny...we are an untapped demographic just waiting for them to do the right thing and give us a reason to start watching their station again.

Good idea !!
Me & the "gang" will do the same. Great idea ! We'll take turns bringing Movies together on a weekend night...get some tasty beverages & some wings, etc. Who needs PIX.

Glenn-
Don't hold Your breath....PIX panders to the Youngsters not realizing We watch more TV then they do & have more money for the advertisers wares.Screw "em.I went out & bought the box sets of Frankenstein,Dracula,Wolfman, The Mummy , Invisible Man & Creature from the Black Lagoon and will watch 1 Flick every Sat. night....Who needs some crappy channel that treats viewers like DIRT.Like I said...screw them !
Posted by Johnny at 5:53 pm Dec 28, 2008

PIX is clueless
PIX is too interested in showing the jiggle crew weekday mornings and then boring us with cheesey shows. Bring back Chiller and run some "good" movies in your lineup
Posted by Glenn Manhattan at 12:49 pm Dec 28, 2008

True that !
Funny and true Brian.Tonight We watched Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman. We'd never get that from Chiller.Chiller"s dead & buried.Long live DVD. Fuk PIX.

Dennis Elsas with ZacherleRare Zacherley Radio Interview
From Legendary DJ Dennis Elsas

"Dressed as an undertaker, John Zacherle became known as “The Cool Ghoul”, hosting horror movies on television in the late 1950’s and early 60’s. Known just as Zacherle, his outrageous presentation and unforgettable laugh were far more entertaining and memorable than most of the films he showed. He even had a national top ten hit single with the great novelty song “Dinner with Drac” in 1958.

In the mid to late 60’s he hosted Disc-O- Teen, a TV dance show on a small UHF station in New Jersey.  He joined WNEW-FM in 1967 as a truly unorthodox radio morning man, before switching to late nights.  In 1971 he joined WPLJ, and became a fixture of NY rock radio over the next ten years.

On Halloween night, 1997 I was lucky enough to have him as my special guest on WNEW-FM."
